Arming your alarm:
Get everyone out of the home and close all doors and protected windows. Check the keypad to make sure the green "Ready" light is ON. Enter your four (4) digit user code and press AWAY (button #2) if you plan to leave your home or STAY (button #3) if you plan to remain in your home.
Disarming your alarm:
Upon entering your home, you will hear a "beeping" sound if the alarm is armed. Enter your four (4) digit user code followed by OFF (button #1). The "beeping" should stop.
Resetting an accidental alarm:
Follow steps above (disarming your alarm) and then call your Central Station phone number. When the Assured Alarms operator answers give him/her your name then you will be asked for your pass-code and inform them that you have had a false alarm.
Testing your alarm:
This should be done at least monthly. Call your Central Station at the phone number listed on your card. Give the Assured Alarms operator your name and pass-code and ask them to place your system "On Test" for 30 minutes while you test it.
Arm your alarm as above, wait the exit delay period and violate any zone. Let the alarm horns sound for at least 15 seconds before resetting your alarm.
Note: If newer panel revisions that are armed in Away and you don’t exit the premises the system will auto arm to the Stay mode. This is to help prevent false alarms and unnecessary dispatches. Call your Central Station and verify the test with the Assured Alarms Systems dispatcher.
Ask the dispatcher to put your account back into service.
